The Snipers don't move around very much, though getting close to them, they would send a powerful melee hit to enemies. Plus they're not afraid to use their rifles point blank, either.

Using the scope, players can see more distant locations and spot enemies further out, too.

The M95 is a Sniper Rifle found in Mirror's Edge. Held by trained Snipers, this weapon can be a serious threat to the Runners. With its high-caliber ammo, it can kill Blues within a round (for Faith, about 2 in Normal Mode). Unlike the other weapons in the game, the sniper rifle has no crosshair/reticle, therefore it forces the player to use the scope attached on the rifle to aim.

  • When held by the Blues, a Runner can avoid their fire because the Snipers use their laser dot sight on the rifle, thus making the source of the firing more traceable. The Snipers don't move around very much, though getting close to them, they would send a powerful melee hit to enemies. Plus they're not afraid to use their rifles point blank, either.
  • When a Runner is holding the rifle, it can be easily seen that it is one of the heaviest gun around. With that, players should be advised not to hold on to the weapon for a long period of time. Because of its high-power ammo, it is capable to take down Blues with a single round, making it the most powerful weapon, too. Using the scope, players can see more distant locations and spot enemies further out, too.
  • It is odd that snipers would use laser sights on a sniper rifle, as they would serve no purpose but to alert a runner as to their position. Also, it is interesting to note that the laser sight does not appear when Faith is using the rifle.
